Why We Need to Look at the Individual AND Collective Level When It Comes to Mental Health
Talking about mental health challenges is no longer a taboo and many of us have learned about childhood trauma, nervous system regulation and other healing modalities as they become more and more accessible. That’s beautiful because it increases our well-being and can inspire others to do the same.
At the same time, I wonder… Isn’t there something missing? Humanity is at a crossroads and major societal issues can strongly contribute to a person’s emotional distress. However, there are not many places to talk about it.
I think that sharing the heavy emotions that can come up when facing the state of our world is essential. Not only to protect our mental health but also to support each other in this process and to start believing that a better world is possible.
🌱 A world in which we return to communities of care and solidarity that acknowledge and celebrate our interconnectedness with nature and all living beings.
❤️ A world in which it’s ok to show our wounded selves and know that we are supported and cared for.
🕊 A world in which emotional intelligence is inherent in all decision-making processes and where businesses serve the community and the environment.
