Why We Need to Look at the Individual AND Collective Level When It Comes to Mental Health
Talking about mental health challenges is no longer a taboo and many of us have learned about childhood trauma, nervous system regulation and other healing modalities as they become more and more accessible. That’s beautiful because it increases our well-being and can inspire others to do the same.
At the same time, I wonder… Isn’t there something missing? Humanity is at a crossroads and major societal issues can strongly contribute to a person’s emotional distress. However, there are not many places to talk about it.

No wonder - in our capitalist society our worth is linked to achievement and productivity. In many settings, it is glorified when we are always busy or when we neglect our health for work. Even our free time is usually meticulously scheduled, leaving little room for rest or spontaneity.
